Kate Moynihans Art Continued
Quite evident in this birch tree scene is the creative use of tissue bonded to the cotton fiber acid free art paper used by Kate to invoke texture and feeling in this work of art. This is a mixed media piece, meaning she has used a variety of paints and inks along with the tissue to complete it. Most of her work is original but some selected pieces are reproduced to create limited edition giclee prints sold through our gallery and others throughout Michigan and parts of Indian and Ohio. |
Kate Moynihan opened Moynihan Gallery & Framing, Inc. in the spring of '93 with her husband Larry Weller. Kate has a fine art background and Larry was a commercial photographer before they opened the 3,500' gallery.
Larry's daughter Allison Dempkey is the principle buyer for the store and has been working with Kate and Larry almost from the beginning.
The framing production manager, Lisa Lancaster has been an associate since the store opened. Most of the staff have many years with the business and feel like family.
Customer service is the cornerstone of the gallery's success.
