'South West Winds' is Kate's whimsical look at Holland's famous lighthouse, 'Big Red' located on the channel of Lake Macatawa where it opens into Lake Michigan. This is an original oil on canvas painted with a palette knife to develop the texture in oil Kate likes. There are two sizes of giclee prints on canvas of this scene as well. |
Kate Moynihan opened Moynihan Gallery & Framing, Inc. in the spring of '93 with her husband Larry Weller. Kate has a fine art background and Larry was a commercial photographer before they opened the 3,500' gallery.
Larry's daughter Allison Dempkey is the principle buyer for the store and has been working with Kate and Larry almost from the beginning.
The framing production manager, Lisa Lancaster has been an associate since the store opened. Most of the staff have many years with the business and feel like family.
Customer service is the cornerstone of the gallery's success.
